Testing Capabilities
Because we are not limited to only one testing device, we can offer a large variety of testing options.
- Diagnostic HST
The first step in diagnosing any patient with OSA is the sleep test. The straight forward Diagnostic HST Report will be the most important piece of information to use when determining whether or not a patient has Obstructive Sleep Apnea. Our tests meet the requirements of all insurance companies to be considered a diagnostic test as opposed to a screening device. The report will include both AHI and RDI, Sleep Time, and Sleep Stages in addition to the data that is reported by the majority of devices, such as: heart rate, O2 saturation, sleep position, snoring levels, and sleep latency/efficiency.
- OAT Titration
Once a patient is being treated, it is important to make sure the therapy is working. An Oral Appliance Therapy Titration study is recommended once the patient is comfortable with the appliance and it has been set to the expected therapy position, usually 30-90 days after the seat date. The patient will complete this test while wearing the Oral Appliance and the results are compared with the diagnostic test the patient took previously.
- CPAP Efficacy
If a patient is currently using a CPAP or BIPAP, we can test to make sure that the therapy is working using this test. The test will measure airflow through the PAP device and calculate whether or not the patient is still having apneas during sleep.
- Bruxing Report
We have the capability to include a Bruxing Report with the tests as well. If OAT is being considered, the severity of a patient’s bruxing will influence which devices should be used.
- Pediatric Patients
We are one of the only HST providers that can test pediatric patients and our tests are FDA approved for patients as young as two.
